I'm back!

I slept well last night, so Mommy let me back on the computer. The dr. said I do have a bit of reflux, and a cold (again!) so maybe that's why I am feeling a little out of sorts. But of course, I'm still just as cute as ever. See?

Sam and Brady came to visit today, and it was so beautiful out that we went to the park.And then we had yummy Mexican food for lunch. I love guacamole!

Jonah can't come to the blog right now...

...because he's doing this.So this is Mommy posting on his behalf. Why is he sleeping NOW, at 11:30am, instead of at 3am? I don't know, he won't tell me! The doctor's office thinks he may have a bit of the dreaded "R" word, so we're going in to see them this afternoon.

Jonah is learning to grasp things -- he gets so excited when I cheer for him.And he's starting to really love bath time! It's a good thing we got this awesome present from Renny and her roommate yesterday -- look how cool!

Up and down

Today started off disappointing -- my family from Michigan was supposed to drive out to visit for a few days, but they got snowed in!!! Their trip has been post-poned to Easter Weekend. I am going to be so much bigger by then! I was sad that I wouldn't see them today, I have never met my cousins or aunt and uncle on Daddy's side. On the bright side, it did give Daddy and I a little extra time to hang out in bed.

While we were napping, the mailman knocked on the door and gave Mommy a big box. It was from her friend Amy and family, out in Ohio. Look at what delightful things were inside! That's a piggy bank decorated to match my room! And burp cloths with MY name on them! How cool! Thanks, Amy!Amy is getting married in July, and I get to go to the wedding! I'm going to look so cute in a suit and tie.

I slept through the night!

Yes! No wakey wakey AT ALL! I had almost 7 straight hours of uninterrupted slumber. Mommy and Daddy are thrilled, and look how happy I was today! (Thanks to the guru for the hand-knit sweater...alpaca is sooo soft.)

I played on the Gymini today, too -- I'm waaaay more into it now than I was 2 weeks ago.The weather was so beautiful today, Mommy took me for another walk. Doesn't she look nice in her non-maternity clothes? I can't wait for it to be warm all the time, then we can go out strolling every day. I love strolling, even though I fall asleep the moment the wheels start rolling.

Maybe they should have named me Bacon...

...because I'm a little piggie! I had a weigh-in today at the doctor's office, and I'm officially 11 lbs 4-1/2 oz. Wow! The last time I went (about 3-1/2 weeks ago) I was only 7 lbs 12 oz. The nurses said I am doing great. I'm the cutest little pork pie you've ever seen!

Here's the promised pic of my swaddled self -- just call me Jonah Burrito.A few of Mommy and Daddy's friends have suggested that they take a picture of me on the 25th of each month with the same object, to see me grow in relation to the item. sS here is the first in a series! This one was actually taken on March 3rd, since February 25th has come and gone, but we'll be on track from now on.

Miracle in a blanket

Last night, Mommy and Daddy used the Kiddopotamus Swaddle Me blanket that Mommy's friend Lauren gave her. After 2 almost sleepless nights, they thought it was worth a try. WOW! That thing has some magic power over me because I went almost 6 hours without a feeding!!! Mommy had to get up to change me during the night because I cried out, but I stayed asleep through all of this and let my much-deserving parents have a very good night's sleep. We're all very happy here today! I'll show you a picture of me swaddled up tomorrow -- Mommy and Daddy are saving that as a nighttime thing, and they didn't take any pictures last night. But trust me, it will be worth the wait.

Busy weekend

I had lots of visitors this weekend -- on Saturday, Gregor and Carra came over and they brought me some nice toys! I was a really good baby for Gregor and Carra (once I decided to not cry every time Carra tried to hold me). Gregor is so good with babies -- man, I wish he lived closer! We even went out to breakfast at Harvest Cafe and Bakery, and I let everyone eat without needing a diaper change or a bottle.
Karen and Will came to visit today, and they brought me a really cool musical snowglobe with my name and birthday on it. I'm so lucky to get so many great presents! Unfortunately, Karen and Will did NOT get to see regular Jonah, they only saw grumpy Jonah. I was extremely cranky for the most part (except in this one lucky shot with Karen!) Maybe it's because I didn't sleep well for the past two nights?Lucky for me, I'm so damn cute, it's impossible for Mommy and Daddy to be upset with me about anything.
