A lot to be thankful for

Jackson's back!  Okay, he's just visiting, but it's been so good to see him.  I know Mommy is happy to see Jackson's Mommy again, too.  Luckily, the weather has been beautiful these past few days, so we've been able to play outside a lot.

Emily hosted a playgroup on Thursday so everyone could get to see Jackson again.  We were all excited to spend the day with our friend again, we just couldn't wait for him to come home.
ND Emily kept on trying to take my uber cool sunhat.
On Friday I got to see my South Carolina cousin, Tim, and his lady friend Linda.
They flew up to CT for the weekend, and we had lots of fun together.  The last time I saw them I was barely 4 months old!  So this visit provided us with a lot more opportunities for reciprocal interaction.
We went for a little wagon ride.
And my CT Cousins came up for a barbecue today, so they could spend time with Tim and Linda, too.  We played in the sandbox together.
Ate together...that's me eating a whole cupcake, all at once.  It was work to get the whole thing into my mouth, but it was waaay worth it.  I didn't have to share a single bite!  Okay, I'll admit that it was just a mini cupcake, but I'm just a mini person right now, so it's all relative.
Milk is a required post-cupcake libation.
I didn't want everyone to leave, but I got lots of fun goodbye kisses when they had to go home.
And the best part is that it's only Saturday, and Daddy has Monday off!  This is turning out to be one of the best weekends ever!!!

The Great Outdoors

I've been spending most of my days outside lately!  When Mommy and Daddy take too long to get my shoes on or to open the door, I scream and wail and holler like I'm being attacked by a swarm of killer bees.  It's a neat trick I invented myself, you other kids should try it when you want to have something your way.  Just make sure it sounds like something is really, really, REALLY wrong, or all your efforts will be ignored.
 I LOVE my sandbox,
and my swing set and visiting the animals at Flamig Farm.
I'm learning to say lots of words and I know many animal sounds, so the farm is especially fun for Mommy and Daddy.

"Quack, quack!"

We live relatively close to the airport, and planes flying overhead provide almost endless excitement for me on my outdoor excursions.
I invited my friends over for playgroup today, and they all really dug the sandbox too.
One my favorite new words is "boat" -- and there is a motorboat in my neighbor's yard at the end of our street.  I love it when Mommy and Daddy take me for a walk after dinner to see the boat.  I also like to say "bus," "ball" and "baaaa" -- "b" words are easy!
